Nam Kian Subdistrict Community Enterprise, Chewavethee is a group that determines to minimize expenses and reduce chemical use by using local herbs as raw material and applying wisdom coupled with modern knowledge such as bringing star apple, kaffir lime, and turmeric to be processed into many different products. ิ

Chewavethee is located in Nam Kien, a small sub-district in Phu Phiang District, Nan Province, with abundant natural forests and streams. A bio-lifestyle community enterprise was established by villagers, and local communities, who cooperated in reducing expenses and the use of various chemicals in the household and in daily life. Therefore, they have started to create a group to make products for their own use in the household by starting with raising funds from 89 members, and now it has 317 members. It expanded operations to the production of shampoo, soap, and body cream using herbs from raw materials. In the community forest of Nan, such as my leaves, butterfly pea flowers, tamarind, kaffir lime, tamarind, turmeric, etc., were used to create herbal products that are gentle on the hair and body, combined with the traditional wisdom of the community elders.

There is a standardized production method receiving academic support and control of the production quality from the Nam Kien sub-district health station. It received support to promote the planting and development of herbal varieties from the service center and agricultural technology transfer in Nam Kien Subdistrict that jointly develop products with quality until the community enterprise has been registered and passed the community product standard certification in 2008 and had won many awards.

In addition, It is able to generate income per community with sales in the past five years of 5 million baht. In addition to stable income for members, it is also building a reputation for the community and provinces as well.
